Pinterest usage is at an all-time high, giving many businesses greater visibility than ever on Pinterest. Especially those that publish content that is highly relevant to current needs. People may be stuck at home, but they are still seeking ways to stay healthy and fit, to keep their kids occupied, to find recipes for the ingredients they have in stock and also to shop. New ways to shop on Pinterest
Shop from a board – When a Pinner visits their home decor or fashion board, they’ll now see a Shop tab that shows products from or inspired by the Pins on their board.
Shop from search – A new shop tab on search, makes it easy to shop in-stock products when searching for terms like “spring outfits”, “office decor”, “kitchen remodel”, including price and brand filters.
Shop from Pins – Pinterest has made it easier to shop products right from the Pin. Click “shop similar” to see related in-stock products for looks and rooms.
Style guides – When searching for home-related terms like “living room ideas”, browsable style guides will appear for home ideas in popular styles. These visual recommendations make it possible to explore trending styles even when you don’t have the words to describe what you’re looking for.
Last month, Pinterest also launched a Verified Merchant Program. Similar to being verified on other networks, a verified merchant displays a blue checkmark on their Pinterest profile. Verified Merchants will also get a special “Shop” tab at the top of their profiles, which puts all of their shoppable products in one place. It’s free to join and makes your brand stand out.
